- Order Fulfillment (Pick/Pack/Ship)
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship orders while ensuring proper packaging for different product types.
- Generate and apply shipping labels, ensuring accuracy in recipient details, shipping speed, and necessary documentation.
- Process shipping claims from submission to resolution when necessary.
- Success Measure: 99.5% order accuracy; all orders received before 4 PM ship same day.
- Resource Management
- Maintain inventory of packing materials and request replenishments bi-monthly.
- Ensure order fulfillment equipment (scanners, scales, printers, etc.) is functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot and report software or hardware issues to the appropriate support teams.
- Success Measure: No order delays due to lack of resources or technology.
- Carrier Pickup Coordination
- Work with carriers to ensure scheduled pickups are completed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pickup issues, coordinating same-day solutions when necessary.
- Success Measure: No shipping delays due to carrier-related issues.
- Receiving and Returns (Inbound Processing)
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or sales orders.
- Inspect materials, enter inventory into the system, and ensure proper storage.
- Process vendor and customer returns, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Success Measure: Process all inbound shipments within 24 hours.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain organized and clearly labeled inventory locations.
- Support weekly cycle counting and the annual inventory count.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies with an understanding of financial impact.
- Success Measure: Maintain an inventory accuracy rate of at least 95%.
- Warehouse Maintenance
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper waste management.
- Coordinate building maintenance and system repairs as needed.
- Conduct monthly or quarterly safety checks.
- Success Measure: Fully operational warehouse with a clean and safe environment.
- Meeting tight shipping deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
- Adapting to unexpected carrier or inventory issues and implementing solutions in real-time.
- Keeping inventory well-organized and accurately tracked in a busy environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with order fulfillment software.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to our Ashland, Virginia warehouse.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or shipping experience.
- Familiarity with or interest in learning Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with shipping or inventory management software.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- Analytical Problem Solving: Identifying order discrepancies and troubleshooting carrier issues.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Resilience: Handling unexpected warehouse challenges with a problem-solving mindset.
- Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with team members to maintain efficiency.
